The Foundation
Contrary to certain stereotypes about accountants, I believe accounting isn’t just about debits and credits—it’s about people. Nicole Taylor CPA was built on more than spreadsheets and tax codes; it was founded on the belief that great accounting starts with strong relationships, thoughtful guidance, and a genuine commitment to the clients we serve.

My journey in public accounting began at MMGC under the mentorship of Steve Erickson. Steve was more than a boss—he was a teacher, a sounding board, and often an unofficial (and unpaid) therapist. His 30-year career set the gold standard for what a client-focused CPA should be, and I count myself incredibly lucky to have learned from him early in my career.

When Steve retired, he entrusted many of his long-time clients to me—an honor I don’t take lightly. While he’s now fully enjoying his well-earned retirement in Spain, his influence remains a meaningful part of this firm’s DNA. Though not a formal founder, his legacy helped shape the way I practice today, and I’m proud to carry that forward.
